Lanark Municipal Drug Strategy

Municipal Drug Strategy (External)

The Substance Abuse Working Group was formed as part of the original organization of the LCPC.  That Working Group did meet several times and had some success. In the fall of 2009, the LCPC had a delegation of some concerned community members about drug and alcohol misuse, and it was agreed that we would participate in a new partnership that includes agencies, municipalities and the public. A Municipal Drug Strategy Committee was formed, and although not technically a working group of the LCPC, the work being done by this committee is taking the place of the SAWG.
